UNH Hamel's Scholar Program - Meet the requirements for an invitation to the University Honors Program: NH resident, rank in the top 10% of your class (or equivalent level for unranked schools as determined by GPA and/or information on the school profile), demonstrate a challenging college preparatory curriculum, achieve standardized tests scores of 1970+ SAT /29+ ACT composite, demonstrate meaningful involvement in your school or broader community and a strong interest in and capacity for sustained community engagement as evidenced through recommendations, essays and school and community involvements. November Deadlines

The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2018 competition. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. The 20 top finalists will participate in an all expenses paid Leadership Weekend in Chicago during which they’ll interview with the national judges. These 20 finalists will be vying for two first-place awards of $50,000; two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000. Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships – A program that recognizes students who are driving awareness and mobilizing youth to be catalysts for innovative models that provide solutions to eliminate hunger in America. Scholarship winners receive a $5,000 scholarship and a $5,000 grant for their hunger-related charity. The Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship is named for the Foundation's founder and former president, Steve Brady, who was an unstoppable champion in the fight to end hunger. Application deadline is December 5th, 2017. Stop by guidance for application guidelines. Future of Assisted Living Scholarship. Three $2,000 scholarships available to students enrolled in an associate's degree, bachelor's degree or graduate level program at an accredited 2-year college or 4-year university. Each eligible student must submit a 500-750 word essay response to the question: How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town? Every year the New England Red Sox Service Scholarship will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior attending one of the 62 select New Hampshire public high schools based on 1) Academic Performance, 2) Demonstrated Community Service and 3) Eligibility for Financial Aid. Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation grants $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually is at the discretion of the Foundation and must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study. Checks awarded will be made out in the name of the recipient and the educational institution of the recipient’s choice. Application deadline is January 5, 2018. The New Hampshire State Organization Daughters of the American Revolution (NHSODAR) Scholarship for $1,200 will be awarded to a 2018 graduating senior based on community service, character, and scholastic achievement. Applications can be picked up in guidance and must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2018.

The Harriet Gray Partington Scholarship will be awarded to one student who is going on to a technical school following his/her 2018 graduation. The scholarship will be awarded based on his/her community service and scholastic achievement in the amount of $250. Applications can be picked up in guidance and must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2018.

The Society of Women Engineers is offering scholarships to students entering their freshman year in college for the fall of 2018. Go to for details. The deadline for the scholarship application submissions is February 15th, 2018.

Pursuing a major in Water Pollution Control, Environmental Science, Engineering or Chemistry?? The New Hampshire Water Pollution Control Association Student Scholarship (NHWPCA) will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduation senior who qualifies. The Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund (JMSMSF) will award 3-4 $2500 scholarships to eligible seniors. The Walter and Pauline Calderwood Foundation Scholarship Award Program. Provides scholarships to high school seniors who are residents of NH, with preference being given to students residing in Strafford County, NH. April Deadlines Dave Ramsey’s $55,000 Financial Literacy Challenge sponsored by Zander Insurance, gives seniors a chance to win a $40,000 college scholarship! Other prizes for underclassmen and additional scholarships for seniors are also up for grabs. The high schools of the top two scholarship winners will also receive a set of the Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum valued at $5,000! Deadline - Monday, April 25! The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund offers renewable, four-year scholarships to students with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, in the community or at home), a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities. High school graduates or current seniors and current college students who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply. Applications will be available on the website in December 2017.

Manning & Zimmerman Scholarship- - - Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded to high school students attending a technical / vocational school or four year college. The scholarship will be awarded to those students who best address the question: "Why does the 7th amendment to the US Constitution matter to our system of justice?" As trial attorneys who appear before NH juries, we believe it is critical that out young people understand the meaning of justice and the need to preserve the right to trial by jury as embodied in the Bill of Rights, specifically the 7th Amendment to the US Constitution. We are ever mindful of the words of Thomas Jefferson that 'an education citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people,' and are pleased to make these scholarships available for that purpose. Fisher Cats Scholar-Athlete Scholarships- Candidates must be planning to enroll in a four-year degree program or planning to attend a local community college or technical school in the fall. Awards will be based on: Academic performance, Athletic achievement & Citizenship. There will be ten 10 scholarships, each in the amount of $2,500, that will be awarded to New Hampshire students.
