Dear Parents and Students,

We hope this letter finds you enjoying the wonderful summer we are having.  On behalf of the faculty, staff and upperclassmen, I would like to welcome the graduating class of 2018. Everyone at FHS is excited to have you and look forward to your arrival on Tuesday, August 26th.

Once again this year, FHS will have a full day of freshman orientation activities on Tuesday, August 26, 2014.  The first bell will ring at 7:45 a.m. noting the beginning of the school day.  Students will report to the gymnasium for an assembly to welcome the Graduating Class of 2018.  After the assembly, students will be dismissed to their advisories.  The advisory list will be at the school’s main entrance indicating the room to which students will report.  During the advisory period, students will receive handbooks, locker assignments, and an updated course schedule.  The day will end with a faculty/staff and student activity (The first day for upperclassmen is set for Wednesday, August 27, 2014).

We have been busy in preparation for an exciting and productive school year and hope you are as well.  When you arrive at FHS, you will see some new faces.  We are very excited and fortunate to introduce Ms. Erin Harper (math), Mr. Dan Chick and Mr. Alex Satterfield (Special Ed), Mrs. Shannon McCracken (Technology), Mr. Seth Macomber (Social Studies) and Ms. Aubrey Palacio (Health).

The Guidance Department will be open beginning August 18, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  You can view your child schedule in PowerSchool. If you have questions about schedules please call 755-2811 to set-up a meeting.

Sincerely,

Matt Jozokos                      Kathy Tetreault
