All incoming Freshman are required to read 1 fiction and 1 nonfiction book. Due to difficulties with book access, freshmen should feel free to select their own fiction and nonfiction (they need to read one each for a total of two) books to read. After reading the book, you are asked to complete the assignment according to the instructions given to you as a handout at the end of the year, which are also available for download (see below) or on the FHS website, along with a rubric for the assignment. These assignments will count as your first grade for Freshman Seminar and that it is due on the first day of classes, August 31st.
